I did my research and read countless reviews about the various metal detectors which are available on the market. I decided on the American Hawks Explorer metal detector because of the many accessories which come with it and the fact that it has an easy to read digital display. I had also read many reviews which stated how easy it was to use and many of them also commented on the fact that it is easy to learn and that there is not much need for the instruction manual. I was buying this for my grandson and I thought all these features were perfect especially as he has little patience for reading instruction manuals – he just expects to be able to use things straight away!
The fact that everything he needed was already included was a bonus. There was no need to buy extras such as batteries or headphones and the metal detector came with a bag too. Well to say my grandson loves it would be an understatement. He has his parents tormented with his many finds and the fact that he constantly wants to be outside searching – not a very bad complaint I know but he just doesn’t even want to come in for his dinner in the evening. To be honest I thought he would get bored after a while but he has had it for almost six months and he is still as keen as on day one!
